Thanks to a timely post last week from one of our volunteers, Claudia R., we received generous contributions of both money and food.
Thanks to both Claudia and our East Mountain neighbors that answered her call!
BIG SKY HELPS THE EAST MOUNTAINS IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!
Big Sky wanted to make a donation for using the Sedillo Road Greater Neighborhood recently for filming their TV series. So the Neighborhood Association had Big Sky give the donation to the East Mountain Food Pantry. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
Mountain Christian Church in Cedar Crest did the same thing last year when the TV production company used their parking lot for a period of time.
BIG THANKS go out to Big Sky and the Sedillo Road Greater Neighborhood Association! And we cannot forget the Mountain Christian Church in Cedar Crest!
We owe Lion’s Club a big thank you!
We’d like to send a HUGE thank you to the Lion’s Club. They held a food drive and brought us donations of almost 800 items.
We could not do this without our generous neighbors!
Bad Weather Procedures
Now that school is back in session in New Mexico, we are revising our weather closure procedures:
Winter Weather Schedule – closures/changes to our regular schedule will be shown on TV Channels 4 https://www.kob.com/closings/ and 13 https://www.krqe.com/weather/closings/ or call the pantry’s phone# 407-1078 for our recorded message.
Thanks to the New Mexico National Guard
Today, the New Mexico National Guard donated 1300 items to the East Mountain Food Pantry. Another example of the generosity of New Mexicans!
